An ode to leather shorts

For the past few seasons leather has been everywhere from leather jackets to leather harem pants and have been seen everywhere from the catwalks to the streets. In the last year I have seriously become addicted to these beauties - my leather shorts. I bought a pair last spring and have literally worn them with everything from cute airy peasant blouses to thick wool sweaters and stockings. I've worn them casually and dressily, in the day and in the night, in the warm and in the cold, so pretty much everywhere and anytime.  So that being said, I think it is time I pay my respects to these beloved leather shorts that have stuck by me through it all. Who knew shorts made out of leather could make such a huge impact on one’s wardrobe.

Factory Girl

I am currently obsessed with Edie Sedgwick’s style circa 1965. Her style was so simple and chic and I can’t help but be inspired by her mod look. She always looked glamorous yet edgy in an effortless way. The key to Edie Sedgwick’s style was to mix bold bright jewelry with simple sheath dresses and solid colored tights. This has become a bit of a uniform of mine in the last few days and I can’t get enough of it!

I guess there are a few things you should know about me from the start, before the madness begins.  First of all I live in Vancouver, Canada, tend to be quite sarcastic, and have been in LOVE with fashion for as long as I can remember! I have finally decided to take the plunge and start my very own blog so stay tuned to see the magic happen. You might be asking yourself why this random girl from Vancouver thinks she has what it takes to blog about fashion...if you are in fact asking yourself that then I am sorry, I really don't know the answer but together we will find out if I do
